Coachella Weekend One: AMAZING! A lot of the best bands' show times overlapped, making it impossible to catch everything. This means there was never a dull moment at the venue. Imagine multiple food courts with healthy or savory options, a rose garden, color changing art installations and endless photo opportunities planted throughout the massive outdoor space. The Ferris wheel lifted observers high over the field to witness a conglomerate of fashionable and friendly festival goers.
On top of seeing some of my favorite artists preform live, I also had the chance to make new friends and catch up with party people from across the world. And OMG, Rydel from r5 gave me a high five!
Bands that blew me away included Glass Animals, BROODS, Bastille, Two Door Cinema, Lorde, and Justice. The composer Hans Zimmer was beyond phenomenal to experience live. During that set, Pharell Williams made a surprise appearance to perform his original song "Freedom".
My only regret for the weekend was not mastering the ability to be in two places at once. On Saturday night, right before Lady Gaga was supposed to perform, it was time to make the trek to one of the most epic parties of the season, Neon Carnival. With free rides, games, a beauty station, and top notch DJ's hosting the all night event, it was an experience too enticing not to miss. I heard Lady Gaga was fantastic though!
Also, I managed to link up with one of my favorite photographers in Palm Springs, Moyo Pollo ( @moyo_pollo), for an impromptu photoshoot.
